Network House

Network House encompasses a full feature Network Operation Centre with continual 24/7 monitored network, this coupled with a Cisco powered, fast, diverse network we achieve maximum operating efficiency for your hosting requirements.

Security features of the Unitron hosting facility include steel reinforced walls, ceiling and floors. 24 hour monitored CCTV , and a sophisticated alarm system. For obvious reasons we do not publish or discuss all of the security measures within Network House.

Network House features include a large UPS and an auto start generator to ensure power supply to your servers is always available, together with an environmentally controlled data centre to ensure the best conditions are maintained for you servers.

Network house also plays host to conference facilities available to our authorised partners to meet clients to help secure the deal

 

Technical Information


Network
Network House operates a multi-homed diverse gigabit network running BGP and our own autonomous system (AS20652), using "Datahop" in Telehouse North, London & "C4L" in Williams House, Manchester. Network House is carrier & transit diverse, as well as being physically diverse with multiple fibre entry points into Network House & microwave links, should one connection fail traffic is automatically routed via the remaining connection giving customers the business continuity they require.

Cooling
N+1 Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) System - Providing redundant environmental control, coupled with APC's environment monitoring suite to alert support teams in the unlikely event of a temperature or humidity change or hardware failure.

Cold Isle Containment - This containment prevents hot air recirculating ensuring air conditioning systems operates as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible.

Environment
Located on the 1st Floor of Network House away from flood plains.

Network House is monitored 24/7 by inhouse techinians to maintain and service the data centre facilities, including CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning), UPS and Generator Systems. The service provides 24/7/365 4 hour response time for your servers.

24 Hour Technical Support - SWDirect provide a 24/7 support service should any problems occur outside of these hours. All key support and systems personnel are within 10 minutes of the data centre and network operations centre.

Collocation facility located in Telford (Shropshire), Midlands, just of J4 M54 motorway and < 1 mile from the train station.

BT & NTL Fibre and HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol).

Power
Backup Generator and UPS Redundant Power System - UPS system ensures that should the power to the building fail, clean power delivery is maintained to the data centre until the generator takes over < 3 seconds.

Dual Rack Power - Each rack is supplied with dual power feeds from each UPS

Security
24 Hour Security - Network House protected by 24/7 CCTV and monitored intruder alarms throughout the facility and building.
